Lipstick Under My Burkha – Many celebrities in the entertainment industry are annoyed by banning the Bollywood film ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ by the censor board. Film producer Prakash Jha has said that he will appeal against the Ben in the tribunal. He told ANI, ‘Yes, as I have done before, I will appeal to the Tribunal again, that is the only option.’ Jha also said that the censor board should not have the power to run scissors on films.
Directed by Alankrita Shrivastava, this film is produced by Prakash Jha, Konkona Sen, Ratna Pathak Shah, Vikrant Massey, Ahana Kumara, Plabita Borhadkur and Shashank Arora have also played an important role in the film.
Speaking to ANI, Prakash Jha said, “There are some people in CBFC who have their own way of thinking and they decide the guidelines according to their own accord. The rest will come and they will fix these rules according to their own accord. Whenever such freedom is given, there will be such problems. Whenever we have the power to make a decision, it will happen. ”
The Censor Board has already directed to edit Prakash Jha’s film ‘Jai Gangajal’ and ‘Rajneeti’. Prakash Jha told ANI, ‘Even before the board, I have a problem and it often happens. But there is no problem with my director Prajayaj Nihalani. ‘
The censor board has refused to give the certificate to many award-winning films ‘Lipstick under my Burka’. Explaining its reasons, the censor board has written that it is more women-centered. The board has also objected to the sexual scenes and language of the film.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has sent a letter to film producer Prakash Jha, in which the reason for not certifying the film is written, “The story of the film is centered and based on the fantasy beyond his life. There are sexual scenes, abusive words, and obscene audio. This movie is more sensitive to a special section of society. Therefore, the film is rejected for authentication. ‘
